See the majestic palms of McGregor Blvd in Fort Myers Florida and one of the reasons Fort Myers is called the City of Palms.
McGregor Boulevard is a beautiful street in Fort Myers. The street is lined on both sides with soaring Royal Palm trees, many still remaining from Thomas Edison's original donation, and leads for miles from Downtown Fort Myers to Sanibel . This historic area features large luxury estate homes along both sides of the street; they are stunning and have been well maintained over the years. They offer a glimpse into old Fort Myers. Many are on the Caloosahatchee River which empties into the Gulf of Mexico. The Thomas Edison Estate is also located here. A definite must see in the annual Holiday House there during Christmas season with all the holiday lights and decorations. The estate actually spans along both sides of McGregor and is located on the riverbank.
