Sun Harvest Citrus

Sun Harvest Citrus

Greetings, from the Sun Harvest Citrus family!

Since our company's inception, our goal has been to provide our customers with a family grown, premium product: fruit with a rich color, a charming aroma, and a wealth of flavor. Having been blessed with over 70 years of the right climate and conditions, we have no intention of going away, so we certainly hope that our Indian River citrus -- and now peaches -- have found a lasting place on your shopping gift giving list.

Sun Harvest Citrus - A Family Tradition

In our groves and in our store, Sun Harvest Citrus has a long-standing tradition of bringing you the very best Florida-grown citrus – a tradition that spans three generations of our family.

It began in 1940 when Robert Edsall, Sr. planted his first citrus grove in Vero Beach. He chose this Indian River location because he knew the soil, water and climate conditions were perfect for growing the most delicious citrus in the world. This legacy was handed down to Robert’s son, Bobby, and continues today through the leadership of Robert’s grandson, David McKenzie.

The Sun Harvest Citrus retail store and packinghouse opened in 1990 when Sandy McKenzie Nicely, Robert’s granddaughter, decided to offer Edsall Groves’ delicious Indian River citrus to the public. She and her husband Dave are joined by Sandy’s cousin, Drew Edsall (Robert’s grandson) in offering the family’s delicious Indian River citrus, fresh-squeezed juices, gourmet foods, candies, gifts and more at their store in Fort Myers.
